RIVERWALK CENTER
Primary design objectives for the Breckenridge Riverwalk Center were to replace the deteriorating fifteen-year-old, 780-seat performance tent with a more durable structure in order to reduce yearly setup costs, to extend the season for events beyond the short summer at ten-thousand feet, and to improve the experience for the performers and audience in a more comfortable environment with much better acoustics. All this needed to happen at a minimum expense, with minimum operating costs, and at the highest level of environmental responsibility. And construction activity had to be completed between the summer performance seasons.
